A lot of people travel to Nashville, TN for the music, but we're so much more than just music. We have professional hockey (Go Preds!), our own NFL team (Titan Up ya'll!), amazing local artists, the Leiper's Fork Distillery, and we have some of the most beautiful roads to ride, an extensive greenway system, and an ever growing trail system for you mountain bike types (thanks SORBA!).

Each season we get a ton of questions about coming into Nashville to ride, so we decided we'd try and help you out by compiling a list of frequently asked questions.

I'm flying in with my bike, can you put to together for me? Yep, you bet we can. We have a staff of highly trained mechanics that can build just about anything. As of spring 2018 our "build and tune" rate is $90, plus $10 per additional accessory such as fenders, racks, etc. When you're ready to go back home, just drop your bike back off and we'll box it back up for you. No worries if you shipped it in a hard case, we can store that for you while you ride. As of spring 2018 our "box a bike" rate is $75, plus $5 per accessory to remove them. We recommend giving us AT LEAST 2 days to build your bike. Notice how that's bold? That's because it's IMPORTANT. Our mechanics can get pretty busy and your safety is our first priority, we don't want to rush through a bike build.

I'd like to ship my bike to you, how do I do that? Easy peasy. Just hop on over to bikeflights.com, create your shipping labels and schedule your shipment. Take your bike to your local bike shop for professional packing or if you're packing it yourself be sure to look at these videos for some tips. Don't skimp on the packing, because it's a bummer to arrive with a damaged bike. Please allow enough time when shipping your bike for us to build it, we recommend your bike arriving AT LEAST 2 days before you plan to pick it up. Notice how that's bold? I don't want to travel with my bike, do you offer rentals? At the moment we are out of rental bikes, BUT we are rebuilding the rental fleet for spring 2024!

Do you offer any discounts on rental bikes? I'm glad you asked, we sure do. For every 3 days you rent, you get the 4th day free. So, rent for 4 days, pay for 3, rent for 8 days, you only pay for 6.

But I'm special can I have a bigger discount? We agree, you are pretty freaking awesome and special. You ride a bike and bike people rock. But nope, no additional discounts are available at this time.

Can I pick up or drop off my rental bike on Sunday? Sorry, gotta say "nope" on this one. We like to ride too, that happens to be our Sunday Funday.

I'm not riding on Sunday, do I still have to pay for that day? Now, come on - would you ask the rental car company that question? I thought not. Yes, you'll have to pay for Sunday, even if you're not riding the bike on Sunday. Regardless of how much or little you ride your rental bike, we still have to maintain and insure it. We try to offer pretty nice rental bikes and we want to keep it that way.

I don't know where to ride, can you suggest some routes or trails? We thought you'd never ask, you bet we can! For the latest trail information check out our local IMBA chapter, SORBA Mid TN. If the weather has been rainy, we suggest you check the trail conditions listed on the SORBA website before you head out to ride your mountain bike. Our trails don't hold up well when they're wet and will close when necessary. It's a bummer not to ride, we get it, we feel your pain. But it's a bigger bummer to have our trails trashed because someone rode them when they were too wet.

For you roadies here's a few routes to get you started:

If you're directionally challenged or just don't want the hassle of following a route, we suggest doing an out and back on the Natchez Trace Parkway. We're one mile from the terminus and you have a bike lane leading you right to it.

I'm planning to ride the entire Natchez Trace Parkway, can you help me with that? We can sure try. Your best source of information for riding the Trace is NatchezTraceTravel.com. Randy is the owner and he knows his stuff. He can hook you up with B and B reservations, tell you where to find food, and all sorts of other stuff. I want to do something other than ride my bike, do you have any suggestions? Of course we do! If hiking is your thing check out  Percy Warner and Edwin Warner Parks. These parks are side by side and offer some beautiful options for walking, hiking and running.

Here's just a few quick tips for you:
Lights, have them charged and on your bike - especially your rear light. Be a bigger distraction than whatever the driver is looking at. If you don't have lights we keep them in stock all year long.

Reflective and high vis gear is always in style, get you some.

Sunscreen, you'll need it on the Trace, there's not much shade in the summer and it can get pretty toasty out there.

If you're not from the South, it gets HUMID here. Be prepared to sweat and DRINK YOUR WATER. You're going to need plenty of water when riding here in the summer.
